What are the negatives of the main car safety features?

i need to know... actually my friend does but I'm kind :D so pleeease be kind too :D|||There aren't very many except in rare circumstances. Airbags move very quickly so if there's something between you and your airbag (like your wrist) it hits you moving very quickly.

ABS makes a fair bit of noise and a grinding sensation so if you've never experienced it, you may react by taking your foot off the brake and even the best ABS is less effective than true threshold braking.

Traction control takes away control of the vehicle from the driver. In the vast majority of circumstances, this is a good thing since the driver has probably done something stupid but in a few cases, it can be both disconcerting and confusing.

Impact laws in the EU require higher front bumpers to protect pedestrians and this forces less aerodynamic shapes...

There are plenty of drawbacks.|||One negative of airbags is questions on Yahoo! Answers from drivers who incorrectly think that airbags are supposed to deploy in all crashes in which the car is going fast enough. This is not the case; an airbag that did so would be very dangerous and probably illegal. However, many drives have accidents of types that should not cause their airbags to deploy, and, when their airbags work properly, and do not deploy, they post questions here asking what the speed is above which airbags should always deploy (there is none) or if they can sue (probably not, since the airbags did what they should).
