Just had my car inspected and passed for safety and emissions...then sold the car. Does the new owner need to?

I just sold my car shortly after it passed safety and emissions (less than a month ago in Utah). Does the new owner of the car have to get it recertified or will the current certification work? Thanks.|||MOST SMOG inspection certificates are good for 90 days from the date of purchase.|||As long as you didn't use the paperwork to register the car, they can use it. If you used the paperwork, then they need to get new tests. The DMV won't give out new plates without paperwork in hand.|||the current certification will work..
