Buying a used car: do i have to do safety inspection in virginia even if the sticker has not expired?

so this will be my first time time buying a car in virginia. i agreed to buy the car and the car has inspection sticker that is good until 11/2011. once i get the title from him, will I have to go to a gas station and get a safety inspection?|||No, the car's inspection will continue to remain valid until the end of November 2011.
