Car safety side airbags rear view camera?

Tell me, how they work and how common they are in modern cars.|||Well the Technical name for Side Airbags is S.I.P.S (Side Impact Protection System) but they are more commonly called a "Curtain Airbag". Curtain Airbags are deployed when a Vehicle is impacted from the side, which prevents the head and upper body of people in the car from hitting the side of the car.

You can see in this picture a Curtain Airbag, and clearly shows how they would work in the Prevention of Head Injuries in a Side Impact.

A Rear View Camera is not really much of a Safety Feature, but is more of a Convenience. Its a Small Camera mounted under the Boot Lid of the car, and shows the driver what is behind them by projecting it on the Dash Board LCD.|||Side air bags - More common in mini vans or suvs but in some compact cars.(Inflate like a normal airbag, just stops you from hitting your head on the side of the vehicle.

Rear view camera- Usually mounts on rear bumper, just has a video feed that shows whats behind you on a monitor. When it come stock from the factory monitor is built in.
