I have a 5 Series BMW. The problem is the key barrel has collapsed which has jammed my steering lock on. Also my key Is now stuck in the ignition. If i was to brake the Lock, Would it be safe to Use my car to take it to a garage, with the key stuck into the ignition?|||Instead of breaking it and increasing the repairs just have it towed to the garage.......|||............... PROBLEM. Breaking the lock can cause the broken pieces to jam the steering column.
